The first one. Before the brand had a logo system. Before the medallion family. Before any of it.
The Original is the shirt that started Third World Therapy. The rooster. The palm trees. The squared badge. The whole idea, distilled into one design that came out of one trip and a feeling that didn’t have a name yet.
We could update it. We choose not to.
Some shirts you redesign. Some shirts you just keep making.
If you’ve ever wanted to know where the brand came from, this is the answer. The rooster who didn’t know he was a mascot yet. The palm trees that hadn’t been drawn a hundred different ways. The version of Third World Therapy that existed before the manifesto.
Side effects may include: a quiet sense of being early to something, the satisfaction of owning a piece of brand history, and the slow understanding that the original ideas are usually the right ones.
The first edition. Still in print.
So soft it will be your favorite from day one. Built for the long way around.
The blend gives it a vintage, lived-in drape and a fit that softens with every wash instead of wearing out.
- 50% polyester, 25% combed ring-spun cotton, 25% rayon
- Fabric weight 3.4 oz/yd2 (115 gsm)
- Pre-shrunk, 40 singles
- Unisex regular fit, XS to 2XL, side-seamed
- Blank sourced from Guatemala, Nicaragua, Honduras, or the US
One honest note: tri-blend runs a little sheer, so lighter colors can look slightly see-through depending on the light. That is the fabric doing its thing, not a defect.
Treat it like something you want to keep.
Machine wash cold, inside out, with like colors. Tumble dry low or hang it somewhere with a view. Skip the bleach. As for ironing, you did not travel halfway around the world to press a shirt. Wrinkles are just proof you have somewhere better to be. Tri-blend fabric softens with age and gets better the more places it sees, so the less aggressive the wash, the longer the journey.
Made to order, shipped when it is ready.
Every tee is printed for you after you order, so nothing sits in a warehouse waiting. Production usually takes 3 to 7 days, then shipping time depends on where in the world you are. You will get a tracking link by email once it leaves the facility.
Because each shirt is made on demand, we do not accept returns or exchanges for wrong sizes or a change of heart. Check the size guide before you order so it fits the way you want.
If your order shows up damaged or defective, that one is on us. Head to our Contact page within a week of delivery with your order number and a photo of the issue, and we will make it right.
